Let’s get on with the holiday programme!

A canoe trip on the banks of the Sarthe river
Fancy taking to the open sea (in a sensible way, of course) and breathing in a breath of fresh air? Here, young and old alike can try their hand at a range of water sports, including canoeing, electric boating and pedal-boating. With a breathtaking view over the Sarthe and a friendly atmosphere, it’s the ideal place to spend a fun and refreshing moment with family or friends. Hire your equipment directly from the campsite! Water sports centre open in fine weather from April to September.

Nature break: walks in the Sarthe Valley
Because the Sarthe is also home to beautiful, wild landscapes and a wealth of flora and fauna, set off on an adventure and discover a multitude of footpaths and trails, suitable for all abilities and ideal for families! Between riverside, wooded paths and typical villages, discover all the treasures of the Sarthe at your fingertips (and feet…).

Delve into the local heritage and discover Malicorne!
Not far from the campsite, after the bridge, lies the town centre of Malicorne-sur-Sarthe, a name that is as cute as it is unusual, but it does have a history (Wikipedia will tell you all about it…).
Let’s start with a classic: the famous Faïencerie de Malicorne. This museum-workshop invites you to discover ancestral know-how and admire unique pieces made with passion. A perfect combination of culture and creativity.
On your way to the campsite, you’ll probably have passed the 3 Moulins, which seem to float on water! At nightfall, the play of light is well worth the candle…
And don’t miss the church of Saint-Sylvestre, an architectural gem nestling in the heart of the village. It’s perfect for a little zen break as you stroll along.

A not-to-be-missed getaway to Le Mans and its legendary circuit
Le Mans is just 45 minutes away by car! It’s much more than just a town known for its famous 24 Hours (although we welcome you to the campsite in a peaceful setting by the water during the major 24-hour events!) In terms of heritage, discover the Cité Plantagenêt, a magnificently preserved medieval quarter with its cobbled streets, half-timbered houses and impressive ramparts. Perfect for a walk back in time!
Culture buffs won’t want to miss Saint-Julien Cathedral, an architectural masterpiece that dominates the city.
On the entertainment front, if you’re feeling a bit sporty, you can always try a few virtual laps of the track at the Le Mans 24 Hours Museum. Whether you’re into motor sports or not, this legendary venue is well worth a visit.
And of course, after a long day: a gourmet break is a must! Take advantage of the good local restaurants to savour traditional cuisine with a wide range of flavours.

Immersive day at La Flèche Zoo
Do you want to be an adventurer and meet fascinating species from every continent? Then La Flèche Zoo is your destination of choice. Just a 25-minute drive away, it’s one of France’s oldest zoos and home to almost 1,600 animals: majestic lions, curious lemurs, adorable red pandas and many more!
Enjoy animal shows, special encounters with certain species and immersive themed areas such as the white tiger territory. Children (and grown-ups too, let’s be honest) will love getting lost in this completely natural world.
A little bonus: if you fancy sleeping among the wild animals, the zoo offers unusual lodges with a direct view of the enclosures. A unique experience to try out at least once in your life!

An architectural enchantment: discover the Château du Lude!
Welcome to one of the most beautiful châteaux in the Loire Valley and in the heart of the Sarthe! Château du Lude transports you into a world where history, refined architecture and enchanting gardens blend harmoniously. With its majestic facades and breathtaking details, it is one of the rare châteaux still inhabited.
During your visit, let yourself be surprised by its sumptuous interiors, sublime collections of objets d’art and majestic decorated rooms. Outside, the formal gardens and shady parkland are an invitation to take a stroll.
Children will not be left out, with activities on offer to immerse them in the days of the châteaux. Just for a day out, of course!

How about a change of scenery while exploring the region and its wilderness? We suggest you continue your itinerary in the heart of Anjou, on the banks of the Loire and its bucolic boires. Put down your bags at the Orée des Boires campsite, a haven of peace for fishing enthusiasts, or at the cute Grenettes campsite, a human-scale campsite on the Loire à Vélo cycle route. On the programme: relaxation, nature and family outings. Just the thing to recharge your batteries!
